Locales

Learn about what Locale you should provide for your Language

Introduction

A locale is a unique value that is used to define a user's language. Regardless of whether the language is described in one work, or multiple words, each language has a unique locale that looks like xx_YY. These are used in language files and on their names.

If you want to find the locale of your language, you can Google it and it will give you a result.

The below locale is the English locale provided with Donation Store. It's made up of two parts. The first two letters en define that the language is English. The second two letters define what type of English. The second two letters are crucial, as certain languages are slightly different depending on where in the world they are spoken. In this case, it's IE, which is Ireland. This entire locale means that it is Irish English.
