Setup reCaptcha

Learn how to get reCaptcha keys needed for setting up a webstore

Introduction

For the most part, Donation Store doesn't really take much input from the end user on the store front and then use that to communicate with the database. However there is one area where it does, with support tickets. To ensure that users do not flood your webstore with support ticket requests through the forms, reCaptcha is used to validate the request.

reCaptcha is required in Donation Store. It takes only a few moments to setup, it adds another layer of security to your application and what's more, it's free! Donation Store uses the normal reCaptcha (v2) (not invisible).

Get reCaptcha Keys

Go to the reCaptcha site found here. Click the Admin Console in the top right hand side of the page. Once logged in, click the plus icon on the top right of the page. Give your site a label that can be used to easily identify it. Choose reCaptcha v2 (v3 support coming soon) and choose "I'm not a robot" tickbox. Choose the domain that the main application is running on (can be IP or domain). Read and accept the reCaptcha Terms of Service. Then click submit.

You will then be shown your site key and secret key. Place these into the relevant inputs when creating your webstore.
