It has been reported and solved that this issue can occur when your plugin is set to make requests to your webstore when it is HTTP (without an SSL cert), then when you add an SSL cert, any non HTTP requests are forwarded to HTTPS. However, this will loose the request Method. As the method is lost, any POST request made by the plugin to do anything will be converted to a GET.
